Plot summary
Lizzie McGuire finishes junior high and travels to Rome with her classmates. David 'Gordo' Gordon, one of her closest friends, comes along, while Miranda Sanchez visits relatives in Mexico City. Angela Ungermeyer, their strict chaperone and future high school principal, is the chaperone, and Lizzie shares a hotel room with Kate Sanders. At the Trevi Fountain, the Italian pop star Paolo Valisari notices that Lizzie looks remarkably like Isabella Parigi, the singer he once performed with. The next day Lizzie pretends to be ill and meets him; he asks her to take Isabella's place at an awards ceremony.
