Lillian Hurst

Lillian Hurst is a Puerto Rican actress and comedian who began in television comedy in the early 1960s after producer Gaspar Pumarejo discovered her in 1960. She starred in the comedy Pompilia y su Familia on WAPA-TV and later hosted La Hora del Niño. Her other 1960s comedies included Casos y Cosas de la Casa and Matrimonio y Algo Más, and in 1969 she worked for a year in Lima, Peru, on El Hit del Momento. After returning to Puerto Rico, she acted in stage productions such as La Casa de las Hojas Azules and La Verdadera Historia de Pedro Navaja, and in 1980 she wrote and produced a stage show. She later worked Off-Broadway in New York, moved to Los Angeles in 1989, and appeared in Spanish and English productions. Her screen credits include the 2005 movie English as a Second Language and guest roles on ER, Lost, True Blood, and a recurring part on Dharma & Greg.
