Jovanna Huguet

Jovanna Huguet is an actress who grew up in Vancouver, Canada, the child of a Peruvian mother and a Canadian father. She began ballet at five, was accepted into the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School at nine, and finished her RAD examinations with honors. A merit scholarship took her to the Walnut Hill School in Massachusetts, where she danced as a principal with the National Youth Ballet and worked with the Boston Ballet. She then moved to New York City and joined the publicity firm Ellen Jacobs Associates, but watching performances nightly made her want the stage again. She won a scholarship to train at the Weist-Barron Studio, then returned to Vancouver for full time study at the Vancouver Film School. The lead in a feature film came right after graduation, along with an agent, and she has worked steadily in television series, movies of the week and feature films since.
