Joan Caulfield
Biography
Joan Caulfield was an American actress and model who began a stage career in 1943 after Broadway producers spotted her and later signed with Paramount Pictures. Born in West Orange, New Jersey, she acted with Columbia University's drama group and worked as a model before Broadway roles in Beat the Band and Kiss and Tell. Her first film was Miss Susie Slagle's, and her other features included Blue Skies (1946), Dear Ruth (1947), The Unsuspected (1947), and The Lady Says No (1951). In the early 1950s she moved into television, co-starring in My Favorite Husband and later starring in Sally, with guest roles on many series. She also performed in touring companies, summer stock theater, and dinner theater, and she had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
