Jack Mullaney
Biography
Jack Mullaney was an American actor who started out on Broadway, appearing in The Remarkable Mr. Pennypacker between 1953 and 1954, and went on to work steadily in film and television. Born in Pittsburgh and raised partly in Cincinnati, he made his screen debut in The Young Stranger in 1957 and played Ensign Lewis that same year in the comedy Kiss Them for Me (1957). Television kept him busy as a series regular: the bellhop Johnny Wallace on The Ann Sothern Show, Lieutenant Rex St. John on Ensign O'Toole, and Hector Canfield on the science fiction comedy It's About Time. His film work included South Pacific (1958), the political thriller Seven Days in May (1964), Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine (1965) as the mad scientist's bumbling minion Igor, and two Elvis Presley musicals, Tickle Me (1965) and Spinout (1966). He died in 1982.
