Harry Gilby
Biography
Harry Gilby is an English actor from Nottingham who trained at the Television Workshop there and played Nathan in the original West End cast of The Full Monty at the Noël Coward Theatre. He made his television debut in 2016 with a role in Jericho, then starred as Charlie Lyndsay in Just Charlie (2017), earning a Most Promising Newcomer nomination from the British Independent Film Awards and a Best Newcomer nomination from the National Film Awards UK. He played Arlo in the short Evie, the young J. R. R. Tolkien in Tolkien (2019), and appeared in Casualty and Granchester. In 2022 he took the role of Æthelstan during the fifth series of The Last Kingdom and returned for The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (2023). He received a Best Actor prize from the Soho London Independent Film Festival for the short ManMade, and also appeared in Boarders (2024) and My Fault: London (2025).
