Harry Bugin
Biography
Harry Bugin was an American actor and musician whose career took in both film and the stage. Born in the Bronx, New York City, on March 10, 1929, he studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and worked for years as a professional musician, playing string bass and bass guitar with big bands from 1947 to 1970, among them the groups of Tex Beneke, Ray McKinley, Vaughn Monroe and Sammy Kaye. He played other instruments too, including the tuba. His stage credits took in Twigs in 1974, with Vivian Blaine, a national tour of Swede, and the part of Juror Number 10 in Twelves Anger Men at the Rita Hayworth Theatre. He died on October 6, 2005.
