Hallie Foote
Biography
Hallie Foote is an American actress whose stage work has centered largely on plays by her father, the writer and director Horton Foote. Born in Manhattan and raised in Nyack, New York and New Hampshire, she started on Broadway in 1982 in A Little Family Business and in 1986 took the title role in her father's off-Broadway play The Widow Claire. Their collaborations included The Trip to Bountiful, which won her a Lucille Lortel Award, and Dividing the Estate, which brought the 2008 Richard Seff Award and a 2009 Tony nomination. She also won an Obie Award in 1993 and Drama League Awards in 2000 and 2002, and took part in the off-Broadway run of The Orphans' Home Cycle in 2009. Her screen work has been limited to small parts, among them Paranormal Activity 3 (2011), along with television roles on Miami Vice, Murder, She Wrote and Law and Order.
