Greta Thyssen

Greta Thyssen was a Danish actress who made a career in films and television between 1956 and 1967. Born in Hareskovby, Denmark, she won the Miss Denmark title in 1951 and later settled in America. She hoped to become a movie star like Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, and she doubled for Monroe in Bus Stop. Her films included Terror Is a Man (1959), Journey to the Seventh Planet (1962), Accused of Murder and Three Blondes in His Life. She appeared on Dragnet and Bachelor Father, and she took the role of Roxy Howard, the title figure in the Perry Mason episode The Case of the Nervous Accomplice. She replaced June Wilkinson in the Broadway production Pajama Tops. She was probably best remembered for Three Stooges films, among them Quiz Whizz, Sappy Bull Fighters and Pies and Guys. From 1956 to 1958 she was Treasure Hunt's original Pirate Girl, and she retired after the musical comedy Cottonpickin' Chickenpickers (1967).
