Gary Raymond

Gary Raymond is an English actor of film, television and theater who was born in Brixton, London, to theatrical parents. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and spent the 1950s with the Royal Shakespeare Company, playing roles including Macbeth, Oberon and Claudius. His film debut came as Charles Stuart in The Moonraker (1958), and he followed it with Cliff Lewis in Tony Richardson's adaptation of Look Back in Anger (1959), opposite Richard Burton and Mary Ure. Other notable films include Suddenly, Last Summer (1959), The Millionairess (1960), El Cid (1961) and Jason and the Argonauts (1963). He also appeared in The Playboy of the Western World (1962) and The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), while television brought him recognition as Sergeant Jack Moffitt in The Rat Patrol from 1966 to 1968. He has kept working on stage throughout his career.
