Gabriella Licudi

Gabriella Licudi was a British actress whose career began on the stage. Born in Aylesbury, she attended the Central School of Speech and Drama, and an agent noticed her there during a 1961 class production. Her first major stage role came in John Mortimer's Two Stars for Comfort, which ran for nine months in the West End. The producer Samuel Bronston saw a performance and cast her in a minor part in the 1964 film The Fall of the Roman Empire. She played a widowed expatriate in a 1965 Danger Man episode, English Lady Takes Lodgers, opposite Patrick McGoohan. Her films included the Bond spoof Casino Royale (1967), The Last Safari (1967) and Don Levy's experimental Herostratus (1967), in a lead role. She also starred in a 1968 BBC Hound of the Baskervilles, with Peter Cushing and Nigel Stock. Her last film appearances came in the early 1970s, and she died in 2022.
