Eddra Gale
Biography
Eddra Gale was an American actress and singer who began in opera and later performed in concerts in Rome. Born in Chicago in 1921, she started performing as a young child. While she was in Italy, director Federico Fellini noticed her in Milan and gave her the role of Saraghina in 8½ (1963), a part seen in a childhood flashback. She also appeared in Gidget Goes to Rome (1963). After that, she played Anna Fassbender, the wife of Peter Sellers' character, in What's New Pussycat? (1965), and was a guest in Hotel Paradiso (1966). Smaller parts followed in The Graduate (1967), I Love You, Alice B. Toklas! (1968) and The Desperate Mission (1969). Her final screen credit came in Somewhere in Time (1980), where she played Genevieve. She died in 2001.
