Eben Kostbar
Biography
Eben Kostbar is a film producer and writer who graduated Cum Laude from Frostburg State University. He co-produced Godspeed in 2009, which won the Jury Award at the CineVegas Film Festival. Kostbar wrote and produced The Hammer (2010), based on the life of Matt Hamill, a Deaf UFC fighter. It opened at AFI Fest, took the Breakthrough Audience Award and seven more festival prizes, including one from the Heartland Film Festival, and reached theaters in 2011. He produced The Aggression Scale (2012), which had its premiere at South by Southwest and came out through Anchor Bay. His credits also include Free Samples, which opened at the Tribeca Film Festival with Jesse Eisenberg, Jason Ritter and Tippi Hedren in the cast, and The Thompsons, a sequel to The Hamiltons directed by the Butcher Brothers. He also produced commercials, music videos, web series and television shows for companies including HBO, and in 2015 became a partner at Sawhorse Productions.
