Demi Singleton
Biography
Demi Singleton is an American actress, singer and dancer who began her career as a child performer on Broadway. Born in Baton Rouge and raised in New York City from the age of three, she trained in music, dance and acting, taking classical ballet and cello lessons as a young girl. She started acting in 2017 and at ten made her Broadway debut in School of Rock, the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical; she remained with the show for close to a year before playing young Nala in The Lion King on Broadway. In 2018 she joined the Epix crime drama Godfather of Harlem as Margaret Johnson, the granddaughter of Forest Whitaker's character. She played the young Serena Williams in King Richard (2021), the Warner Bros. sports drama led by Will Smith, and she also took that part in a 2019 Super Bowl commercial. She later appeared as Sally Reeves in the Paramount+ series Lawmen: Bass Reeves.
