Daniel Gerroll

Daniel Gerroll is an English actor whose career has centered on the stage in Britain and the United States, though he has also worked widely in television and film. Born in London, he won a Theatre World Award in New York for The Slab Boys and Knuckle, an Outer Critics Circle Award for Translations and an Obie for sustained excellence of performance. His Broadway credits include Plenty, The Homecoming, Enchanted April, High Society and Misery. On screen he has been seen in Chariots of Fire (1981), 84 Charing Cross Road (1987), Big Business (1988) and Drop Dead Fred (1991), and on television in Miami Vice, Cheers, Seinfeld, Sex and the City, Law and Order and The Starter Wife. He played Bronson Alcott in the PBS documentary Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind Little Women, and at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis he played Henry Higgins in Pygmalion in 2004 and later Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing.
