Clint Black

Clint Black is a country music singer, songwriter and actor from Katy, Texas, who also plays guitar and harmonica and produces records. He taught himself harmonica before 13, wrote his first song at 14, and learned guitar by 15. After signing with RCA, he released Killin' Time in 1989, whose first four singles all reached number one, and that year the Country Music Association named him best newcomer. His singles have appeared on the Billboard country charts more than thirty times, with thirteen reaching number one, and he has released twelve studio albums; in 2003 he founded his own label, Equity Music Group. Nominated four times for the Grammy for best Country Male Vocal Performance, he won a Grammy for Same Old Train in 1998. His screen work includes Maverick (1994), Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack (1998), Flicka 2 (2010), and Flicka: Country Pride (2012).
