Claire Lautier

Claire Lautier is an actress whose work spans theater, television, and film. She grew up in the Pensacola Bay Area and studied drama at Gulf Breeze High School, then went on to Duke University and Julliard. Her New York stage work includes understudying Mrs. Elvsted in Hedda Gabler and playing Sarah in John Guare's Chaucer in Rome at Lincoln Centre Theatre. Her films include By Courier (2000), directed by Peter Riegert, Homecoming, with John Heard and Betty Buckley, David Duchovny's House of D (2004), with Robin Williams, and the Will Ferrell comedy Elf (2003), playing the news reporter Charlotte Dennon. On television she had roles in Law & Order (1990) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), and appeared on Guiding Light (1952) and All My Children (1970). She won the John Houseman Award for classical theater, a Maxwell and Muriel Gluck Fellowship, a 1998 Fox Foundation Grant, and the Michel and Suria St. Denis Award.
