Chris Walley
Biography
Chris Walley is an Irish actor, born in County Cork and raised in the Glanmire area, who took drama classes at the Gaiety School of Acting and the Cork School of Music and performed with that school's youth theater. He won a role in the independent Cork-shot film The Young Offenders (2016), written and directed by Peter Foott, playing Jock O'Keeffe. The comedy became the fastest Irish film to pass 1 million euros at the Irish box office, and the part brought him an IFTA nomination for best supporting actor. He returned as Jock in the RTÉ and BBC Three series based on the film, which won him an IFTA for best male performance in television. In 2018 he appeared alongside Aidan Turner in a West End revival of Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore, a performance that earned him a Laurence Olivier Award, and he was chosen as a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit.
