Big break
After an instrumental of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" appeared in David Lynch's 1990 film Wild at Heart, Atlanta radio music director Lee Chesnut, a Lynch fan, played the vocal version. It became his station's most-requested song, and by February 1991 the single was a national top 10 hit.
About the name
After college, Isaak formed a rockabilly group called Silvertone, taking the name from a guitar brand that became popular in the 1950s. The group stayed on as his permanent backing band.
