Brian Worth
Biography
Brian Worth was an English actor who learned the technical end of commercial advertising films before deciding to perform, having been educated in Britain and America. After wartime service in the armed forces, he spent 1946 and 1947 on the stage, then took prominent supporting parts in more than a dozen films during the first half of the 1950s, among them Tom Brown's Schooldays (1951), Scrooge (1951) and The Man in the White Suit (1951). He appeared in the science fiction miniseries Quatermass and the Pit, led the short-lived series Francis Storm Investigates, and later worked on television in The Saint and The Prisoner. His later films included four for director Michael Powell and a small part in the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969). He died in 1978.
