Blue Ivy Carter

Biography

Blue Ivy Carter is an American singer, actress and dancer who was born in New York City. She first appeared on record as a baby on Jay-Z's 2012 song Glory, and that feature made her the youngest person to enter the Billboard charts. In 2015 she sang with a choir on Coldplay's Up&Up. Her 2019 single Brown Skin Girl, with Beyoncé, Wizkid and Saint Jhn, reached the Billboard Hot 100 and took Best Music Video at the Grammy Awards. The track also earned an NAACP Image Award and a BET Her Award, which made her the youngest BET Award recipient. She narrated Matthew A. Cherry's book Hair Love, danced on the Renaissance World Tour starting in 2023, and in 2024 made her feature film debut as the voice of Princess Kiara in Mufasa: The Lion King.
