Ben Silverstone
Biography
Ben Silverstone is an English former actor and a barrister. Born in Camden, London, he appeared as Taplow in Mike Figgis's The Browning Version (1994) and as young Humbert in Adrian Lyne's Lolita (1997). His lead role in Get Real (1998), a Paramount Classics film adapted from Patrick Wilde's play What's Wrong with Angry?, made the film a cult favorite and led to fan gatherings in the Basingstoke area. After that he studied English at Trinity College, Cambridge, acting in student productions such as King Lear and The Winter's Tale. From 2001 he worked in theater, including The Tempest and My Boy Jack, and his Basil Anthony in Man and Boy earned him nominations for an Evening Standard Theatre Award and a The Times Theatre Award. He also appeared in Jump! (2007), played television roles in Shackleton, Timewatch: Through Hell for Hitler and Doctors, and became a barrister in 2009.
