Ashlyn Gere

Ashlyn Gere is an American performer who moved between B movies, mainstream film and television, and the adult industry. Born in 1967 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, she earned a degree in Theatre Arts and Communications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In the 1980s she appeared under the name Kim McKamy in low budget features including Evil Laugh (1986) and Creepozoids (1987), and she later worked as a body double on Basic Instinct (1992) and Indecent Proposal (1993). As an adult film actress she was, according to Complex, among the most popular stars of that decade, and she won FOXE, XRCO, AVN, and Hot d'Or awards. She is an inductee of the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame, and her mainstream credits include The X-Files, Space: Above and Beyond, and Willard (2003). In the second half of the 1990s she cut back on adult video work and toured as an exotic dancer.
