Anthony Azizi

Anthony Azizi is an Iranian American actor who began performing as a child at the Touchstone Theater in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and was writing and staging his own plays by age eight. He studied theater arts at Muhlenberg College, where he acted in campus productions and earned an Irene Ryan award nomination for playing Sam in The Miss Firecracker Contest. In New York he worked at the Ensemble Studio Theater and the Thirteenth St. Reparatory Company, where the play Three of a Kind helped him get his first agent. He made his studio film debut in McHale's Navy, which he counted among his earliest big breaks, and later appeared in The Lost Battalion (2001). On television he was a series regular on ABC's Threat Matrix as Mo', an Egyptian-American former CIA agent, a role he said made him the first Iranian American series regular on a network hourlong drama. He also recurred on 24 as Mamud Faheen.
