First role
At 12 years old, Reinking gave her first professional performance in the United Kingdom, dancing in The Royal Ballet's staging of Giselle.
Big break
Reinking was asked to create choreography in Bob Fosse's style for a 1996 concert staging of Chicago, and when no suitable actress was found for Roxie Hart, she took the role herself after nearly 20 years.
Behind the camera
In 1991 Reinking started the Broadway Theatre Project, a training program in Florida that brought students together with experienced theater professionals such as Gwen Verdon, Julie Andrews and Gregory Hines.
Early training
As a child, Reinking started ballet lessons and studied with Marian and Illaria Ladre, former Ballets Russes dancers, in Seattle.
