Anjali Jay

Anjali Jay is a British actress, writer and dancer who trained in Bharatanatyam and contemporary dance and has performed since she was seven. Born in India and raised in Bangalore, she studied in Britain on a Charles Wallace Scholarship for an MA in dance theater at the Laban Centre, and after graduating she spent a season dancing with the Shobana Jaysingh Dance Company. She appeared opposite Chris Pine in Blind Dating (2006), and her screen credits also include The Age of Adaline (2015) and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. On television she played Djaq in the BBC series Robin Hood, a role praised by Jack G. Shaheen, and she has also had long-running roles on Supergirl and Salvation. Jay has worked extensively in theater too, including with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and her stage roles include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Jamila in Midnight's Children.
