Biography

Alessandra Ambrosio is a Brazilian model who was born in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, and started modeling classes at 12 before becoming one of 20 finalists in Brazil's 1995 Elite Model Look national competition. A Brazilian Elle cover was her first notable assignment, and after Elite sent her Polaroids to Guess she booked the Millennium GUESS? campaign. She was the first model chosen to represent Victoria's Secret's PINK line and served as a Victoria's Secret Angel between 2004 and 2017, wearing the Fantasy Bra in 2012 and again in 2014. In 2004 she launched the swimwear line Alessandra Ambrosio by Sais, and in 2014 she introduced the fashion and lifestyle brand Ále by Alessandra. On screen she had a cameo in Casino Royale, began acting in the Brazilian telenovela Verdades Secretas in 2015, and appeared as herself in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016).
