Alberto Ammann

Alberto Ammann is an Argentine-born actor who built a career in Spanish film and television. Born in Córdoba, Argentina, he trained in acting with Guillermo Iani and Jolie Lobois before continuing his studies in Spain. His breakthrough came in 2009 with Cell 211, for which he won both a Goya and a Spanish SAG Award; the film became the most successful of that year. He next starred in Lope (2010) as the playwright Lope de Vega, then costarred with Daniel Bruhl in the science fiction film Eva (2011) and appeared in Daniel Calpasoro's thriller Invader (2012). On television, he played Pacho Herrera, leader of the Cali cartel, in the Netflix series Narcos. His other film work includes Combustion, Tesis Sobre Un Homicidio, Mindscape, Betibú, and Oliver's Deal.
