Albert Moses

Albert Moses was a Sri Lankan actor who made his career in Britain. He became best known as Ranjeet Singh, a student in the ITV sitcom Mind Your Language, a part he played in all four series. Born in Gampola, Kandy, in 1937, he went to London to study drama and theater. During the 1960s he acted in Bollywood films in India, and Gabriella was the first film he produced and directed. After work on documentaries in Africa, he began taking small British television roles in the early 1970s. Mind Your Language ran from 1977 to 1979 and returned in 1986, and he later produced 13 episodes. His films included The Man Who Would Be King (1975), An American Werewolf in London (1981), Octopussy (1983), The Second Jungle Book: Mowgli and Baloo (1997), East Is East (1999), and The Snarling (2018). He also acted in theater productions such as Freeway, Phaedra Britannica, and Long March to Jerusalem.
