Plot summary
A young Eritrean refugee in Israel, Aumari faces being sent back to his home country. At the airport he makes a spontaneous attempt to escape, and a mix-up with a Nigerian striker expected at the same moment leaves him taken for the player. Aumari seizes the chance and the change of identity that comes with it, becoming the key signing of Maccabi Netanya, a struggling soccer team. He has no soccer talent, and he covers that up, and the divisions inside the team are healed under him. A tender romantic bond grows between him and the daughter of the team owner, who is charmingly unconventional.
