Plot summary
Professor Jack Randall wrote a book about gargoyles that the experts rejected, and he is a discredited academic. In Paris, workers digging beneath the Saint Jean André Church find a hidden chamber, and a creature attacks them there. Randall's friend Carol Beckham urges him to inspect the site, and the two enter at night, Carol gathering artifacts while he films. A winged monster comes at Randall and the pair flee, his camera breaking as they go.
