Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Return of the Living Dead III (1993)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Julie's full zombie look used 100 different prosthetic pieces, and the application process was eventually trimmed from nine hours down to six.
- Trimark Pictures picked up the rights with Brian Yuzna assigned to produce and direct, and gave him no set direction beyond one mandate: Trioxin gas had to be included as a plot point to justify usage of the Living Dead name.
- Five different effects companies, including Steve Johnson's XFX, were used during the shoot because of the tight schedule and the number of effects, and the welded-metal exoskeleton worn by Riverman weighed 75 pounds and was designed by Tim Ralston.
- To secure an R rating for theaters, Yuzna trimmed roughly 50 to 60 seconds from the film, though an unrated cut was still released on VHS.
