Plot summary
Direk Damrongprapa leads the Liberal Party and campaigns for election on an anti-corruption platform. His fiancée, Vasana Tienpradap, a geology expert educated at Harvard, supports him. Three years later he is prime minister, and a nuclear power plant in Chumphon is built despite the fears of villagers and environmental activists. Vasana separates from him over his refusal to stop it. Corruption is widespread among the politicians of Bangkok, and a masked vigilante called Red Eagle punishes the criminals the law cannot touch.
