Plot summary

Zin, the Thai lover of Japanese yakuza Masashi, was once the girlfriend of the gangster No. 8, and after she chose Masashi he shot off his own big toe and declared that she could never see his rival again. Zin tells Masashi to go back to Japan; she then finds she is pregnant and moves somewhere new. Her daughter Zen is found to be autistic, and grows up copying the moves of the Muay Thai kickboxing students next door and the martial arts films on television, with reflexes sharp enough to catch a ball without looking. Zin takes in a boy named Moom. When she develops cancer and cannot afford chemotherapy, Zen and Moom decide to collect the debts listed in an old notebook of people who owed Zin money.
