Plot summary
Joe Sullivan is serving time on a charge he took the fall for, with a $50,000 share promised from the job. His girl Pat helps him break out of prison. Rick Coyle, the mobster who arranged the escape, expects Joe to be killed while fleeing and so avoid paying him. When their getaway car is damaged, Joe hides with Pat in the apartment of Ann Martin, the legal caseworker who visits him in prison. Police close in, and Joe makes Ann come along.
