Plot summary
Dan Gannin owns a nightclub. Hal Towers, a bookie, is a friend of his, and after Hal is killed, Dan wants to handle the matter himself. Lieutenant Barney Runson, a police officer, warns him against taking the law into his own hands. Dan's girlfriend, Robbie Lawrence, a war widow, worries about him too. Two thugs who work for a mob boss blindfold Dan and beat him.
