Plot summary
Shamsher Singh trades in illegal arms from Abu Dhabi and his private island, Al-Shifa. His stepson Sikander serves in the family empire alongside Yash, Shamsher's assistant, and Raghuvendra Singh, his personal aide, while a rival, Rana Singha, makes trouble for them. When Shamsher's children, the twins Sanjana and Sooraj, turn twenty-five, the family lawyer reads their late mother's will: each twin gets a quarter of the property and shares, and Sikander the remaining half. The twins, who already dislike Sikander, resent the arrangement. Shamsher tells them Sikander is the son of his elder brother Ranchor Singh, once the head of Al-Shifa. Through his friend Brijmohan, Shamsher hears of a hard disk holding compromising videos, kept in a bank locker in Cambodia, and sends Sikander to recover it. Sikander remembers Jessica, the woman he loved in Beijing and lost.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- While Race 3 was shooting, Salman Khan was convicted in the Blackbuck poaching case by a Jodhpur Sessions Court on 5 April 2018. The remaining patchwork of the film was then completed in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan instead of Abu Dhabi, whose landscape Jaisalmer resembles.
- Pakistan's Central Board of Film Censors temporarily banned Race 3 so that four big banner Pakistani films and other smaller regional language releases could do good business on Eid without competition from Bollywood films.
- Salman Khan agreed to star in Race 3 on the condition that choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza would direct it, while Saif Ali Khan refused the film because he opposed the idea of playing a parallel lead to Salman.
- Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez and Deepika Padukone were all considered for the female lead opposite Salman Khan before Jacqueline Fernandez was confirmed in the role in August 2017.
