Plot summary
In the Los Angeles of 2057, the city is lawless and war-torn, and rebels and government forces fight in its streets. Hawkins Coselow is a soldier whose crippling wounds have left him unable to walk, and Dr. Alexis Zalazny is the research scientist working on a cybernetic program meant to get him back on his feet. He volunteers for it. Chandra Kerkorian, his former lover, lives in the same city, and the two still share psychosexual dreams even though they are no longer together. The experiment transforms Coselow into a machine that is part man and part robot, able to interface with any computer, and it goes badly out of control.
