Plot summary
An economic catastrophe called the Great Crash has left the United States crippled, and Los Angeles is one of its few free territories. Poverty, crime and drug use fill the city, which the Rollerboys, a skater gang of white supremacists, are fighting to control. Their leader is Gary Lee, a young drug kingpin who was Griffin's neighbor when they were children. The gang sells a designer drug called Heaven Mist. Griffin's younger brother Miltie takes a job pushing it on the streets. Casey, an undercover officer, asks Griffin to join the gang as a mole.
