On the Other Side of the Tracks (2012) on Netflix

Plot summary

Ousmane Diakhité is a bad boy police officer in a housing project. When he is involved in a car accident, his fellow officers take him for the assailant. The next day, a business mogul's wife is found dead near the project, and Ousmane ties the two cases together, sure that he can crack them both. To get anyone to listen, he has to work with François Monge, an investigator visiting from Paris who carries much more weight in the department. The two work different neighborhoods and police them in different ways, yet they find common ground in a style that includes manhandling suspects.
