In Srinagar, a covert intelligence drop turns into a breach of a classified safehouse while Colonel Arvind Chauhan and the field operative Imran Qureshi try to recover pieces of Rakhtpat, a shelved mind-control program. Om Rathore, the lead agent on the extraction, is ambushed; the data goes missing and he is presumed dead. Three months on, a cybersecurity analyst in Himachal picks up traces of him, and word of the sighting reaches RAW. Someone then tries to kill him, and he escapes with her help.
