Plot summary
In 1978 Rome, Pietro is a shy medical student. He watches a film at the Nuovo Olimpo, a theater that Titti runs and that gay men use for encounters. There he meets Enea, who studies film, and both feel the attraction at once. Enea suggests the bathroom; Pietro holds back. Enea tells Alice, his friend and lover, who lends him the key to her grandmother's empty apartment. The two meet at the theater again the next day. Pietro has booked a table at a trattoria and plans to see his mother in the hospital beforehand.
