Plot summary
During World War II, a man held as a suspected spy for Japan escapes from an internment camp in California. Seven American soldiers are assembled into a squad and sent after him. Their orders are to catch him before he gets to a makeshift POW camp, where fellow enemy soldiers have gathered to share information. The squad follows his trail deeper into the California landscape, and traps and obstacles wait along the route they take. Tension builds inside the squad as the hunt goes on.
