Plot summary
Rajiv has finished his studies abroad and comes home to his mother's house, where she has already chosen Vijaya Singh, the daughter of Thakur Ajay Singh, as his bride. Rajiv instead falls in love with Rajni, a woman with no family. His mother refuses the match at first, then agrees after meeting her. Vijaya's father, who manages the family estate and hoped for the marriage, is not pleased. Rajni is not what she appears to be: she is a Naagin who can take human form, and she has married Rajiv as part of a plan to avenge her cobra spouse, killed years earlier by the sadhu Bhairon Nath. Bhairon Nath, who can control snakes, arrives at the house.
