Plot summary
Hibiki Shimada, in her second year of high school, shoots archery and has never felt romantic love. Her friends Megumi Chigusa and Kosuke Kawai are both smitten, Chigusa with the mathematics teacher Masato Sekiya and Kosuke with the visual arts teacher Sachiko Nakajima. By mistake, Hibiki delivers Chigusa's love letter to Kosaku Ito, the world history teacher she is drawn to, and when she volunteers to retrieve it her feelings grow stronger. Ito is known around school as stern and cold, but he takes her to a hospital after she falls in front of his car, stays late to help her with a school assignment and often gives her a ride home. Chigusa quietly abandons her pursuit once she learns Sekiya is in love with Nakajima.
