Plot summary
Byoung-woon borrowed $3,500 from Hee-soo a year ago and never paid it back. Jobless and short of money, she finds him at a horseracing stadium in Seoul and demands the sum on the spot. He has nothing to give her, and answers with nervous smiles: he can get the money before the day is over, he says, from women he once knew. His plan takes the two of them across the city to one old friend after another, every one of them a woman. Hee-soo does not trust him, so she stays at his side the whole day, watching to make sure he pays up.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Director Lee Yoon-ki found the source for the film, the Japanese novella One Fine Day by Azuko Taira, as a lonely little stack in a Korean bookstore, drawn to it "like one quiet, lonely person drawn to another"; he wanted his film to touch hearts the way the book had touched his.
- In adapting the story for the screen, director Lee Yoon-ki expanded on the novella, adding to the number of people the ex-lovers encounter, and changed some details, including the ending scene.
