Plot summary
Cream, whose bright manner hides a darker side, comes to know the reserved K when the two are students in high school. Loneliness is something they both carry, and they draw close quickly, moving in together and living much like a family. Years later K has a job at a record company and Cream writes lyrics, yet the two share a home without being either a couple or plain friends. K learns he has leukemia. Rather than tell Cream and hurt her, he keeps the diagnosis to himself and turns his attention to finding her a partner so that she will not be left by herself. What Cream knows nothing about is his illness, and she begins seeing someone new.
