Plot summary
Newly married Linda and Allen plan a honeymoon trip to Acapulco aboard a yacht owned by Burt, a Vietnam War veteran and friend of Allen. Burt's wife Claire and another veteran, Mark, with his wife Isabel, join the cruise. Before the yacht departs, a marina worker is stabbed by a figure in black pajamas. Flashbacks show the men committing atrocities in Vietnam, among them the killing of villagers. The men are troubled, and tension grows among the group, with sexual undercurrents. Someone vandalizes the boat, damaging navigation and communications gear. Isabel acts erratically, warning that bad things happen when the moon is in Scorpio.

- Although Moon in Scorpio never opened in theaters, director Gary Graver said it made its producers more than $1,500,000 from video sales and TV and cable showings.
- Graver said executive producer Moshe Diamant rejected screenwriter Robert Aiken's story about Vietnam veterans who burned a temple to a snake goddess and were stalked years later by a Vietnamese child, and instead demanded a mad slasher movie like Halloween on a yacht.
- Graver said that while he was on vacation after finishing the editing, executive producer Moshe Diamant hired another editor to rearrange the scenes, and that Moon in Scorpio was the only project that ever made him want to get into a fistfight.
