Plot summary
Ten years after alien creatures reach the Middle East, four close friends from Detroit, Michael, Frankie, Inkelaar and new father Williams, leave home as U.S. Army soldiers on their first tour. Before departing, they watch a dog fight that includes an infant creature. Their assignment is to confront the alien creatures and a new insurgency, and they are introduced to their commanding officers, Forrest and Frater. On the first operation, they interrogate the owner of a farmhouse. A huge monster wanders by, and the soldiers shoot it. Three months into the deployment, the team is ordered to find four missing soldiers in an especially active area.
