Plot summary
Oh Mal-soon is 74 and lives with her son Hyun-chul, his wife Ae-ja and their children. She is stubborn and outspoken, and she and Ae-ja do not get along. When Ae-ja collapses and is hospitalized, the doctors say the two women should live apart, and Hyun-chul tells his mother she will go to a nursing home. Dismayed, Mal-soon walks the streets and finds a photo studio that claims to capture a person's youth. She sits for a portrait meant for her funeral and emerges looking 20. Keeping out of her family's sight, she takes the name Oh Doo-ri. At a gathering of pensioners her singing draws the notice of her grandson Ji-ha and the television producer Han Seung-woo.
